HIGHER DOSE GO MAT REVIEW 2024
FEATURES
We take an in-depth look at the latest sauna mat from HigherDose – the Infrared PEMF Go Mat. Released earlier this year, we finally got our hands on it and put it through its paces. Check out our HigherDose Go Mat review.
COMPACT SIZE
The most striking feature of the Go Mat is its striking compact size. It measures just 19.5 x 39 inches, (50cm x 100cm). That makes it a lot smaller than the full-size HigherDOSE infrared mat.
It’s lightweight too. The Go Mat weighs in at just 11lbs (5.2kg). Its compact size and light weight have several advantages and will appeal to many.
SUPER CONVENIENT
The HigherDose Infrared Go Mat is super convenient. Its small size means it is highly portable and can easily be taken on a trip or between home and the office.
Its compact size makes it very easy to store. When it’s rolled up it is similar in shape and size to a rolled-up bathroom towel. You can easily store it in the bottom of a wardrobe or under a bed.
EASY TO USE
We really like the simplicity of this mat – it’s very easy to use. You don’t need to change clothes or wear any specific apparel. It’s not designed to make you sweat.
The controller is easy to use. Just power it up and position it against your body wherever you require some infrared heat therapy. Even better, there’s no clean-up needed when you’re done.
MUSCLE RELAXATION
We found it great for relaxing and loosening tense muscles. The gentle targetted heat and higher dose PEMF levels are great for relieving muscle stiffness that you get after an intense workout.
While the heat is not as intense as you’ll feel from a standard sauna – it was enough to provide deep heat penetration and relieve muscle pain in our trials.
JOINT PAIN RELIEF
We found it good for joint pain too. This is a potential benefit many of us like to hear. In tandem, infrared heat and PEMF therapy have the potential to ease joint and back pain by stimulating the natural healing process.
The Go Mat can be positioned right next to a specific area of the body for targeted heating. This way you can focus on a sore knee, ankle, or bad back.
ADVANTAGES
HIGHLY TRANSPORTABLE
One of the key advantages of the Higher Dose Go Mat is its small size. Its compact nature means it is easy to carry, take on the road, and takes up very little room when not in use.
It is much smaller and lighter than the full-size infrared PEMF mat from HigherDose. The full-size mat is almost twice the size of the new compact Go Mat.
PRICE
It’s great value. It comes in at a much lower price tag compared to the full; size model. If you’re on a budget – this is a great option for you.
You can save a lot of money and still get all the benefits of far-infrared heat and PEMF therapy.
TRIPLE THERAPY
The Go Mat incorporates three alternative therapies to maximize the results of your heat session. It uses Far Infrared Heat, Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Frequency, and Natural Purple Amethyst Crystals.
Most infrared mats on the market are limited to just infrared heat energy. If you want to boost your session – this triple therapy is a great option.
HIGHLY TARGETED
The HigherDose infrared Go Mat provides highly targeted heat therapy. Because of its small size, you can use it to target a specific area of the body.
For example, you could heat your lower back for targeted pain relief while the rest of your body remains unaffected. A full-size mat will heat the entire body.
WORK FROM HOME
We think it’s a great option for people working from home. It measures just 19.5” inches (50cm) in width.
This means you can position it in your desk chair while you work on your computer. You can heat your lower back and glutes while you work away on your computer. It feels good.
DISADVANTAGES
SMALL SIZE
The small size of the Go Mat means you only get partial body coverage. This means it’s not big enough to heat the whole body at once. But, tops our portable infrared PEMF mat reviews.
If you’d prefer an infrared mat that heats your whole body you’ll need a full-size infrared mat. Check out our reviews of the best full-size mats over here – Best Infrared Heating Mats 2024.
PARTIAL COVERAGE
It only provides partial coverage. This means you can only heat a specific area of the body at any one time. While this is ideal for targeted heat therapy it’s not going to provide an all-over body heating experience. See the link above for more information on full-size heating mats and the benefits you can expect.
NO SWEATING
The Higher Dose Go Mat is not going to trigger an intense sweat like you would experience in a regular sauna. It’s just not designed to do that. It provides gentle heat and PEMF therapy to a specific area.
If you are looking for an intense sweat session – this product is not for you. Instead, take a look at sauna blankets. Check out our guide over here – Best Sauna Blankets 2024.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Go Mat combines three technologies to heal and relax the body. They are infrared heat energy, PEMF, and natural amethyst crystals.
INFRARED HEAT
The Go Mat uses Far Infrared (FIR) light energy to gently heat the body. This type of infrared heat deeply penetrates body tissue and heats your core from the inside.
FAR infrared heat is believed to promote the natural healing process, boost circulation, and calm inflammation. The mat is low EMF and generates an impressive amount of heat for its modest size.
PEMF
Pulsed Electromagnetic Magnetic Frequency is a type of therapy that is used to heal the body. The Go Mat generates short bursts of PEMF electromagnetic energy to help stimulate the natural cell recovery process.
The mat is constructed with two PEMF cores implants that run with a frequency of 3Hz-23Hz. For more information on PEMF see here – PEMF therapy explained.
CRYSTALS
The mat contains a layer of natural purple amethyst crystals. They are built into a neatly fitted mesh fabric and spread across the whole surface area of the mat.
These natural amethyst crystals are believed to promote healing in alternative medicine. They may play a role in reducing stress levels and relaxing the mind.
HOW DO YOU USE IT?
The Go Mat is very easy to use. All you have to do is – roll it out, plug it in, and switch it on. Then all you need to do is lie down or sit on top of it. When you’re done, roll back up and pack away. There’s no messy cleaning.
HANDHELD CONTROLLER
A small handheld control is used to operate the Higher Dose Go Mat. It allows you to control the infrared heat and PEMF separately and set a level for each one. It’s easy to use and comes with an operating manual to answer all your questions.
USING INFRARED HEAT
A small dial is used to select the level of infrared heat you want. The levels run from 1-7 with 7 being the highest setting.
Level 7 churns out an impressive 158°F or 70°C. That’s pretty hot. We found level 4 was a comfortable heat level for regular use.
USING THE PEMF
The PEMF energy is available in four levels, 1-4, with 4 being the highest frequency. You can choose between 3Hz, 7.8Hz, 10Hz, and 23Hz.
There is even an option to turn the PEMF off completely. This means you can use the mat for infrared heat only if you’d prefer not to use the PEMF.

WHO SHOULD USE IT?
We think the Go Mat is a good option for most people. As we’ve outlined in this Higherdose PEMF Go Mat Review – its small size, price, and targeted heat therapy can be used by anyone looking for relief from muscle pain, joint pain, and exercise-induced muscle fatigue.
We think this heating mat is great for post-workout stretching, relaxation, and pain relief. It works well for relieving tired muscles, stiff joints, and period cramps.
On the other hand, if you need a mat that provides heat therapy to your entire body then this is not the one for you. In that case, you need to go for a full-size mat, sauna blanket, sauna tent, or our Higher Dose mat reviews.
VERDICT
The HigherDose Go Mat is an excellent choice for targeted infrared heat and PEMF therapy. If you want to target a specific area and not your whole body – this mat is a great solution. Its small compact size makes it ideal for taking on the road or using in the office while you sit at a desk.
It’s incredibly easy to use and we found it works well for relieving sore muscles and period pain. The small size means you don’t have to change close as it heats a small area and does not trigger an all-over body intense sweat.
The cons of the Go Mat relate to its small size and targeted therapy. If you are looking for a mat that heats your whole body and triggers an intense sweat then this is not the device for you. And, best of all – it is available for a fraction of the price of a full-size infrared heating mat.
