WHAT COMES IN THE BOX?
The Heat Healer infrared sauna blanket comes in a stylish black barrier bag, with two handles, and some slick Heat Healer branding on the front. Inside the bag you will find the sauna blanket, the handheld controller, and a pillow headrest.
The pillow headrest is a welcome addition to the package. It is encased in a waterproof material and is very comfortable for cushioning the back of your head while you lie in the sauna wrap. The carrier bag serves the dual purpose of portability and storage.
When everything is neatly packed inside it makes it easy for you to take the blanket on the road with you. And, it’s also great for keeping all the pieces together when it is not in use and needs to be tidied away for storage.
MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
The Heat Healer sauna blanket is constructed from non-toxic materials. It uses an amide fabric that the manufacturer asserts has been independently tested against over 100 common toxic substances. Amide is a durable, heat-resistant, non-toxic material.
When you open the blanket up you will see a bed of jade and tourmaline stones, (more on this below). The stones are covered and held in place by a transparent mesh sheath. The blanket is a great size and will comfortably accommodate most body shapes and sizes. It measures
75″ inches (190 cm) in length and has a circumference of 69″ inches (175cm) when in use.
FAR INFRARED HEAT ENERGY
The Heat Healer blanket heats your body using deeply penetrating far infrared technology. The device is powered by a carbon fiber heating element. The heater is positioned in the walls of the blanket and wraps around your body once you are positioned inside.
The heat performance is good too. It has a maximum operating temperature of 176° Fahrenheit, (80° Celsius). This is more than enough to work up an intense sweat. We recommend starting at a lower heat level and gently working your way up if you feel comfortable doing so.
JADE & TOURMALINE STONES
The base layer of the blanket has been designed to include a generous layer of jade and tourmaline stones. The flat stones are positioned beneath a protective mesh cover and will be directly beneath your back when you are using the blanket.
In alternative medicine, these stones are believed to emit negative ions and boost the healing process. When you use the blanket you will need to place a towel between you and the bed of stones to soak up sweat and add a comfy soft layer.
EMF BLOCKING TECHNOLOGY
The Heat Healer sauna blanket is advertised as having a consistent ‘zero’ EMF reading. In the manufacturer’s own words – the blanket is “not just low EMF, but instead, we have a consistent EMF reading of ZERO across the blanket, allowing for the most natural heat therapy experience possible.”
CONTROL PANEL
The control panel is a small handheld device. It is easy to use and is an upgrade to the previous model which came with a much bulkier controller. Operating the control panel is very straightforward.
There is a power button to switch the blanket on or off. And, two buttons allow you to set your desired temperature and duration of the session in minutes. Devices sold in the US use the Fahrenheit scale to set the temperature.
WARRANTY
The Heat Healer infrared blanket comes with a two-year limited warranty. If you find a fault you can contact the company using an online contact form. Heat Healer will then issue a refund or a replacement at their discretion.
HEAT HEALER SAUNA BLANKET PROS & CONS
Next up in our Heat Healer sauna blanket review – the benefits and drawbacks. What are the pros and cons of the Heat Healer sauna blanket? Let’s take a look at the advantages and disadvantages of this blanket and see how it stacks up against the competition.
PROS
EASY TO USE
Great news, this sauna blanket is very easy to use. All you have to do is find a flat surface and roll it out. It looks a little like a sleeping bag – and it operates almost as simply as one.
Just plug it in, set your temperature and duration, and climb in once it has heated up. All you need to do is lay back and relax. The infrared heat energy takes care of the rest.
Cleaning and storage are also incredibly straightforward. When you are finished using the device leave it open to cool down and air dry.
If you wish to clean it you can gently wipe it down with water or a natural cleaning solution. Then, once it is dry, fold it up and pack it away in the carrier bag it came in.
GREAT SIZE
This sauna blanket is a great size. It is slightly bigger than its main competitor – the HigherDose V4 sauna blanket. The Heat Healer measures an impressive 75″ inches (190 cm) in length. This makes it long enough even for tall people.
The extra legroom means most people can comfortably fit inside without having to worry about your shoulders sticking out of the top. And the blanket measures a comfortable 69″ inches (175cm) in circumference.
IMPRESSIVE HEAT LEVELS
The Heat Healer generates impressive infrared heat energy. If you crank this blanket up to its maximum heat setting of 176°F (80°C) you’ll know all about it. Things get hot, very quickly. And you will soon experience an all-over body sweat.
We found that 158°F (70°C) is a good temperature to start with. And then we gradually worked our way up from there. Depending on your level of sauna experience, you should experience an intense sweat within 30 minutes.
RELAXATION & RECOVERY
We found this blanket great for both relaxation and recovery. If you want to prioritize relaxing your body and calming your mind – all you have to do is lay back and close your eyes. It is a great way to relieve stress after a long day and prepare yourself for sleep.
The Heat Healer also works well for recovery after exercise. The infrared heat generated by the carbon fiber heating element stimulates blood flow and cardiovascular activity. This boosts the natural recovery process – a welcome feature for those who enjoy training and exercise.

PRICE
The Heat Healer sauna blanket allows you to introduce infrared sauna technology into your home at a fraction of the price of a traditional cabin sauna. The blanket is affordable and will appeal to many peoples’ budgets.
Especially when the price of a stand-alone cabin infrared sauna is considered. These saunas regularly run into the thousands of dollars category. A small one-person cabin sauna will set you back in the region of $3,000 – $6,000.
CONS
SINGLE PERSON USE ONLY
The Heat Healer infrared sauna blanket is for single-person use only. It can only be used by one person at a time. If you are looking for a sauna that accommodates more than one person simultaneously, then this is not the option for you.
REPEATED SET-UP
The blanket needs to be rolled out each time you want to use it. Unlike a sauna cabin that is a permanent fixture in your home, this device needs to be set up each time and then packed away after each use. However, you can avoid this if you plan to lay it out in a permanent location.
COLOR OPTIONS UNAVAILABLE
The blanket is available in one color only. If you are looking for a range of color options to match your tastes you’ll discover the Heat Healer is available only in black. Although it looks great and has some stylish branding and logo added with a copper color finish.
HOW TO USE THE HEAT HEALER SAUNA BLANKET
As part of any Heat Healer sauna blanket review, we need to take a look at how to use the device. And, as you’d expect – using the blanket is very easy. There are a few simple steps you need to follow, see below.
1: BLANKET SET-UP
First up, you need to lay the blanket out on a flat surface. We found a rug on the floor or a bed works best. It’s a good idea to use a heat-resistant surface to avoid any damage.
Open the blanket up and place a large towel on the bottom of the blanket so that it covers the jade and tourmaline stones. The towel will absorb sweat, provide a layer of comfort, and protect the stones beneath.
2: PRE-HEAT THE BLANKET
Once you have the blanket in position you need to preheat it for about 10-15 minutes before you climb in. The carbon fiber heaters need some time to achieve operating temperature and emit the required levels of infrared heat.
Connect the handheld controller to the blanket. Then using the power lead connect the blanket to an electrical power socket.
Press the red power button on the controller to switch the blanket on. Then set your preferred temperature and duration on the controller and press the start button. The blanket will now begin heating up and will be ready for use in 10-15 minutes.
3: PREPARE YOURSELF
To use the Heat Healer infrared sauna blanket you need to dress so that you are clothed from your neck right down to your toes. This means you need to wear a long-sleeved top, long trousers, and a pair of socks.
We recommend wearing something loose-fitting and comfortable. Cotton works well. The reason for covering up all your skin is two-fold. First, it will protect you from direct contact with the interior of the blanket and it will absorb your sweat during the session.
It’s a good idea to get some water and place it within reach of the blanket at this point. You will need to stay hydrated during the session. Also, we like to have a face cloth handy so you can wipe away excess sweat.
4: GET IN & ENJOY
Now it’s time to get inside and relax. The easiest way to climb in is to start from the top and shimmy yourself down into position. You’ll need to hold the blanket to stop it from sliding out of position.
Once inside you should be positioned so the top of the blanket covers up to your shoulders but no further. Your neck and head will remain outside. You can have your arms inside or out – whichever you prefer. Then just relax and enjoy your infrared sauna session.
5: FINISHING UP
Once your session has completed just climb out of the blanket and switch the device off using the controller. Next, disconnect all the cables to make sure there is no power getting to the device.
Leave the blanket open and allow at least 15 minutes for it to cool down. You can use this time to have a cooling shower and get changed. If you wish to clean the blanket you can wipe it down with some water or a natural cleaning solution.
Once the blanket has completely air dryed, just fold it back up and place it in the storage bag. Make sure you include the controller, cable, and pillow cushion. Then just pack it away safely until next time.
